Mandatory Bloggey- 8 Hour 7.5 Pound Smoked Boston Pork Butt

 Heads up everybody. The Shred For Shockus event is October, Sunday the 11th.

Week 3, Patriots killed the Jaguars. Week 4 is there bye and then on to Dallas!
Made a trip to Vons to pick up some supplies.
Found this bad boy on sale at .99 cents a pound. 7.5 shoulder for under eight bucks.
Soaked some woodchips for the smoking ceremony.
Garlic through the hand press.
Chopping up onions. I love the smell of onions even though they make my eyes bleed.
Into a pot.
Then fully submerged in apple juice overnight.
Threw some sugar and salt in there for shits and giggles.
Wood chips on top for a mesquite flavor and then wrapped that bitch and let it sit in the 'fridge overnight. 
The next morning I mad a rub and rubbed one out.
When I pulled the plastic wrap off the top, the whole house smelled of a onion-wood chip-porky aroma throughout the house. Should make that into a fucking cologne.
Pulled the meat outta the pot and it was good to go!
Rubbed the rub all ove my meat. Ya dig?
Messy job, but somebody has got to do it.
Over the soaked woodchips to the right of the coals.

The anticipation was killing Biscuit!
Tater tot time!
After a full 8 hours, this big was ready to go!
The smoke ring...
Shredded that shit up.
All on top of them tater tots.
All smothered with white gravy, cheese and green onions.
Is that how ya spell it?
