Mandatory Bloggery- Borrego Springs/ Slab City/ Salton Sea Trip

Got a new phone and the blog game is back on!
Just gotta buy a phone case, so this doofus doesn't destroy his phone/camera again.
Getting down on the recycled skateboard kick.
I'm not very good at it, but I'm having fun.
Kind of having a brain fart at the moment. Not really sure if I've ever blogged these pics....
Making a mess!
More unknown pleasures....
 Round 2!
Took a little daycation out to Borrego Springs.
We stayed at the Golf Resort. $89 for the night!
Hardly anyone was around.
Free driving range for guests!
And to make things better, the Skatepark was open and it was FREE!
Been trying to come into this place for the last 10 years or so. Every time I went, there were no seats and it would be completely crowded.
We got inside this time and had our fill of booze and steak!
The next morning, we took a drive out to Slab City.
 And Salvation Mountain!
Sure is a beautiful sight. Especially since there weren't too many flower sniffing hipsters walking around.
 The more you know!
Apparently all of the paint that was used for this place was dug outta the Los Angeles county dump.
"....Come Upon My Body and Into My Soul....."
 Slab City......
 They had a "Skatepark"!
It's that old olympic size swimming pool you'd see in old episodes of "Built to Shred" and in the Lurkville vid (more specifically, Dolan Stearns part).
Flooded. Two minutes into me rolling around, I almost damn near fell into the scummy water.
Trench foot!!!
Then we stumbled upon an art exhibit called "East Jesus".
 Trash transformed into art....
 Beats sitting in a landfill.
 I was enjoying the views.
 Keyboard grave.
T-rex made of all kinds of trinkets.
Chief Wiggum holding down the fort.
 Tire elephant.
This house flew in from Kansas.
 Just kidding.
 "Dinner for wolves".
 Krang from the Ninja Turtles.
Later, it was fun while it lasted.
 Off to the Salton Sea.
 Pretty desolate and boring.
 Basically a ghost town.
 Keep on keepin' on.....
 Arise my brother....
Love my little man.
